I write articles for this site and many others outlining techqniques and tips to get more search engine bang for your buck. I use examples from past experience on my own sites, and sites for my customers. You can read handfuls of SEO books (and believe me, I have) but the real learning comes from experience. I’ve been building sites and marketing them since 1995, for companies ranging from fortune 500 to home based individual operations and I have learned a lot over the years, I can put that experience to work for you.
Knowledge - I started out as a developer, and have built enterprise class PHP software for 7 years, and worked with hundreds of software packages. I’ve installed hundreds of shopping carts and e commerce systems, and even built them for customers. I’ve run servers that have thousands of people on them at once, and built full solutions for companies. How does this affect my SEO skills? If you are going to have someone modifying your site, wouldn’t you rather have someone that knows what they’re doing in there? You don’t have to worry about an inexperienced SEO coming and breaking your site. I have full confidence I can make the changes needed without problems.
Ethics - While I’m as competitive as they come, I don’t resort to "cheating" or dirty tactics to get your site ahead. Many SEOs out there have given the industry a bad name by doing this. Everything I do follows "white hat SEO" standards, and will never get you banned or dropped from search engines. While these "tricks" might help get you traffic for a while, when the search engines find out, they’ll remove you from their site. Avoid these "trickster" SEOs at any cost. If you’re in it for the long run, my techniques will help you succeed.
