I've been into computers in general as long as I can remember. I've been an electronics buff since tearing apart my toys at around 8 or 9 years old. At a young age, I discovered a hobby that has endless opportunies for learning and experimentation, in computers. I combined my love of art and electronics on these early machines drawing ANSI and ASCII art and even experimented with "RIP" graphics (remember that?). In high school I ran a BBS system (Spitfire) and used a custom configuration, with many complex batch files to do maintenance tasks.
Over the years I started experimenting with C and Unix, and eventually Linux. I began using Photoshop around 10 years ago, and designing html webpages. I started designing and building websites for others in 1996, and over the years have honed my skills in design and development. I can build "top to bottom" sites, providing design and layout, backend software, and database design and maintenance. I have designed many sites ranging from small garage operations to billion dollar corporations.
A few years ago, I hopped on the "web marketing" and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) bandwagon, and immersed myself in the techniques required to market and promote websites. I have also learned a great deal about search engine optimization, and search engines in general, and how to apply that knowledge to drive traffic to websites. I employ "white hat" techniques, and have many examples to show top rankings for competitive search terms.
I am currently a freelance developer and designer with a wide variety of clients. I work with html, php, mysql, and oracle databases on a daily basis. I use knowledge gained there to hone my craft, and provide the best software available. I can put both my small business and corporate knowledge to work for you, to ensure your company success.
